WHEN IN PURSUIT OF OUR DESTINY, WE HAVE COMMITTED GOD TO

In his recent sermon, Apostle Dr. Michael Mband delivered a powerful message on the importance of partnering with God in the pursuit of our destiny. Drawing from Mark 16:20 and other key scriptures, he emphasized that true progress and fulfillment are only possible when God is actively involved in every area of our lives. God Working With Us Apostle Mband began by highlighting that when we commit our plans and actions to God, we are never alone.

Whether in our jobs, businesses, or families, God's presence makes all the difference. He referenced Mark 16:20, which states, "And they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word with signs following." This partnership is the distinguishing factor between those who succeed and those who struggle—prosperity follows those who allow God to work with them, while stagnation and frustration often mark the path of those who try to go it alone.

The Role of the Holy Spirit in Growth

Drawing from the example of Paul and Apollos in 1 Corinthians 3:6-8, Apostle Mband explained that while we may plant and water, it is ultimately God—through the Holy Spirit—who gives the increase.

Without the Holy Spirit's involvement, there is no growth, leading to stagnation and missed breakthroughs.

He urged believers not to assume anything in life, but to engage the Holy Spirit in every detail, as "the devil is in the details." Only the Holy Spirit can expose and overcome the enemy's subtle schemes.

Engaging God in Daily Life

Apostle Mband encouraged practical steps for engaging God: through prayer, offerings, tithes, and even short moments of fellowship in the workplace. He shared personal testimony from his time in Bible college, where he initiated early morning prayer gatherings that grew as others joined in. He reminded the congregation that the primary calling of every believer is soul-winning and kingdom advancement, and that God provides jobs and businesses to make this calling easier and more pleasurable.

Kingdom Advancement and Prosperity

He warned against the temptation to neglect fellowship, tithes, and offerings once material success is achieved. Instead, he taught that prosperity should serve to further kingdom endeavors, making ministry easier and more effective.

He quoted Acts 4:29-34, showing how the early church prayed for boldness, received the Holy Spirit, and experienced supernatural provision and unity. "Money makes you bold," Apostle Mband declared, nothing that financial resources empower believers to serve God without shame or struggle.

God Working Through Us............

The message continued with the revelation that God not only works with us but also through us. Referencing Philippians 2:12 and John 14:10, Apostle Mband explained that as we obey and yield to God, He accomplishes His works through our lives—healing the sick, providing for the needy, and manifesting His power. He reminded listeners that God is faithful to fulfill what He has promised (1 Thessalonians 5:24), and that every victory and breakthrough is "the Lord's doing" (Psalm 118:23). Fulfilling Destiny in Grand Style Apostle Mband assured believers that those who walk in God's plan fulfill their destinies in "grand style" (Romans 8:31).

The key, he taught, is the revelation and understanding of God's Word. It is this revelation that empowers believers to pursue and fulfill their vision.

He urged the congregation to seek understanding, as only those who "see" the vision will run with it (Habakkuk 2:2). Without revelation, believers remain stagnant, but with it, they are empowered to move forward boldly.

Discovering What is Written About You

He concluded by stressing the importance of discovering what is written about each of us in Scripture (Luke 4:17-21). When we approach God, we should do so with the confidence of knowing and declaring His promises concerning our lives.

This discovery and declaration empower us to win in the race of life and fulfill our God-given destiny.

In summary

Apostle Dr. Michael Mband’s message is a clarion call to believers to commit every aspect of their lives to God,  engage the Holy Spirit in every detail, and use their prosperity for kingdom advancement. By doing so, we invite God to work with us, through us, and for us—guaranteeing growth, boldness, and the fulfillment of our destinies in grand style.
