Breakthrough Wonders in Prayer: The Covenant of Restoration
By Apostle Dr. Michael Mband
As we approach the Covenant Day of Restoration this Sunday, I want to draw your attention to the powerful journey we have been on—one marked by the Covenant Day of Vengeance which was 100% effective. Our faith in Jesus’ reliability and faithfulness is steadfast, for He said in Luke 18:7-8 that God will avenge His elect speedily. This promise has been fulfilled, and now we transition from vengeance to restoration.
Understanding Vengeance and Restoration in God’s Plan
Vengeance is about judgment and punishment for oppressors, but restoration is about recovering all that was lost. As seen in 1 Samuel 30:8, after overcoming the enemy, David pursued his adversaries to recover all. Similarly, Luke 11:21-22 teaches that victory must precede the division of the spoil. We fasted and overcame; now, it is time to divide the spoil and recover what rightfully belongs to us. Restoration encompasses all areas of life—finances, health, relationships, careers, and spiritual growth.
Restoration: A Divine Provision
The Bible assures us in 2 Peter 1:3 that God’s divine power has already given us all things pertaining to life and godliness. These blessings are not future promises but present realities, already provided through Christ’s redemption. Lack, scarcity, and poverty contradict God’s provision and redemption. If you find yourself lacking, remember that it is illegal in God's economy what belongs to you has been taken unlawfully, and now it is time to take it back by faith.
Holiness: The Key to Restoration
Restoration is not just about reclaiming material blessings. Holiness is an essential prerequisite. Without living a holy life, our offerings and services to God are in vain (Hebrews 12:14). Holiness grants us access to God’s throne and unleashes supernatural breakthrough.
Preparing for Restoration: A Spiritual Strategy
We must prepare ourselves spiritually like David did before engaging in battle. Write down specifically what you want God to restore in your life and support your claims with Bible verses. Be clear and intentional in your prayers. We are instructed to approach God's throne with boldness because restoration is our inheritance as children of Abraham (Genesis 17:5, Galatians 3:26-29). Engage in spiritual warfare through prayer and fasting; this is how we legally claim what the enemy has unlawfully held.
Living in the Supernatural Realm
Isaiah 58:11 promises divine guidance and satisfaction even in drought, making us like a watered garden whose waters never fail. The fullness of restoration means being spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially, and mentally replenished. As we prepare for this week of restoration, I encourage you to examine your life: your finances, physical health, emotional stability, spiritual commitment, mental clarity, career progress, ministry breakthroughs, and family relationships. Evaluate where you stand and seek God's restoration in those areas.
Conclusion: Restore, Restore, Restore!
This is a crucial time to pray with focus and determination for your restoration. No more vague petitions; be specific and assert your inheritance as a seed of Abraham. Pray with scriptures and in the spirit of faith, knowing that God is faithful to restore what the enemy stole. Join us as we embark on this powerful journey of restoration, standing firm in God’s promises.
Let us overcome, recover all, and divide the spoil in Jesus’ mighty name!
